IAM RoadSmart responds to Welsh Government's changes to 20mph speed limit guidance

Responding to the Welsh Government's announcement, IAM RoadSmart Director of Policy & Standards Nicholas Lyes said: “Changes to the 20mph speed limit guidance by Welsh Ministers is welcome given the concerns that have been raised about its effectiveness. There’s no doubt 20mph limits have an important role on our road network but we have long argued that targeted 20mph limits with effective traffic calming measures and enforcement will produce better levels of compliance.”
