REACTION: IAM RoadSmart responds to the Chancellor's Budget Statement
Responding to the announcements in today's Budget, IAM RoadSmart Director of Policy and External Communications Nicholas Lyes said: “Drivers and businesses will breathe a sigh of relief that the Chancellor has cancelled the proposed fuel duty hike planned for early next year. This would have proven extremely costly for those operating fleets who may have had to make difficult decisions to balance the books. Additional measures for tax free mileage are also welcome. These pragmatic moves by the Chancellor will be well received by millions of motorists who depend on their vehicles for work, family commitments, and everyday journeys.”
